We welcome anyone who has played or is currently playing in a high school band setting to join us. If you don’t own an instrument, we can try to locate one for you. Even if you’re rusty, but remember how to read music, you will fit in just fine with our group of rag-tag musicians. Our director, Steve Baldock, is encouraging and patient. So musicians of all levels are welcome and there is no charge to join!
None of our music selections are overly difficult, because we want the pleasure of making beautiful sounds without the challenge of complicated pieces. The Clovis Community Band members are not professional musicians, and we don’t expect you to be either! Come. Play. Have fun.
Rehearsals & Concerts
Rehearsals are Monday nights from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from September to June. We take July and August off for travel, family time, etc.
We have several concerts throughout the year. These include a John Philip Sousa tribute concert, our annual Christmas concert, a semi-formal dinner concert and a fun, outdoor concert by the Zoo in the summer! Our music repertoire varies as the concert changes, so we play a wide array of pieces from marches to classical masterpieces!
If you’d like more information, please be sure to contact us! Our director, Steve, would love to get you in on the fun!
